For Angel's first two birthday parties, we made it a big affair when we were staying in Sweden and invited many of our friends. Ever since she turned older, I prefer to keep the party cosy with a small circle of her intimates so that everyone can better relish every moment of the party.
For Ariel, I have to admit that I felt a little guilty for making her 1st birthday a pure family affair when Angel had dozens of guests when she was at the same age. However, considering that her birthday falls three days before Christmas, that she doesn't go to school yet and has little friends, and that we are likely to be away on a family holiday in the same period, it really isn't easy for me to find the time and means to organize a big party for my little girl.
