Paris Photo is an annual international art exhibition dedicated to photography. The 1997-established Paris Photo is held in November at the Grand Palais exhibition hall and museum complex on the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
Everyone is welcomed to participate in RX’s Paris Photo 2022 fair. At each and every one of the events, It fosters a culture of inclusion at all events, where the characteristics that make each individual special are celebrated. The fact that the event’s exhibitors, attendees, partners, and event colleagues come from such a wide variety of backgrounds contributes to the overall strength of the event and to the depth of the collective experience.
The event comprises a gallery selection of photo-based artworks in addition to a public schedule of exhibitions, prizes, art signings, and speeches.
There are currently four exhibition sectors at the fair:
- The main gallery sector: Includes solo and group shows as well as thematic projects.
- The prisms sector: Which includes large-format series and installation works.
- The video sector: Which includes digital pictures.
- The book sector: Which consists of publishers and dealers.
Paris Photo 2022
The 25th edition of Paris Photo runs on 10 – 13 November. It is organized into three sections and features 183 exhibitors from 31 countries.
In the major sector, there are 134 galleries from 29 countries, with 18 new galleries opened since 2021. Under the direction of guest curator Holly Russell, the Curiosa sector, which is devoted to emerging art, brings together sixteen galleries (including eleven new galleries) from nine countries.
The book sector is comprised of 34 publishers (four of which are new) from nine countries, offering exclusive editions and avant-premiere book releases, as well as a signature program that brings together the world’s most renowned photographers.
This year’s Elles x Paris Photo Fair trip by Federica Chiocchetti emphasizes the visibility of female artists and their contributions to the history of photography.
Visitors can increase their understanding of the medium through a series of discussions, displays, and awards.
The 25th edition of Paris Photo maintains its position as the world’s most important annual photographic event, thanks to the dedication and support of the fair’s official partners, BMW and J.P. Morgan Commercial Bank, as well as its many public and business partners.

The BMW Group has maintained its social responsibility for more than fifty years through long-term partnerships, such as the one developed with the international art market Paris Photo to support and promote emerging creatives. BMW presents an exhibition of the ten winners of the BMW Residency, a selection of 20 works (the favorites of Thomas Girst – Head of Cultural Engagement of the BMW Group and art historian), and the exhibition ‘Suburban Hauntology’ by Arash Hanaei and Morad Montazami, winners of the cultural initiative BMW ART MAKERS, on the event of the 20th anniversary of this collaboration.
Private J.P. Morgan Bank
J.P. Morgan Private Bank is an official partner of Paris Photo since 2011. As part of this relationship, they display a selection of artworks from the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection.
ELLES X PARIS PHOTO
With Elles x Paris Photo, a program launched in 2018 in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and with the support of Women In Motion, a Kering initiative promoting the visibility of women artists and their contribution to the history of photography, Paris Photo continues its commitment to women in photography. Federica Chiocchetti, writer, curator, editor, and newly appointed director of the Musée du Locle in Switzerland, spotlights a selection of women artists exhibiting at Paris Photo for this 25th edition.
Rossy De Palma is the Guest of Honor for the 25th Edition
Paris Photo invites actress and multidisciplinary artist Rossy de Palma as its guest of honor for the 25th-anniversary edition. Rossy de Palma, a model, and muse for numerous photographers as well as a photographer herself has hand-selected 25 works of art that will be on display at the booths of the galleries. Rossy de Palma’s opportunity to exhibit her distinctive preferences and the aesthetic universe.
Viewing Rooms Online
Paris Photo is delighted to offer the second edition of its Online Viewing Room to correspond with the 2022 Grand Palais Ephémère edition. This online platform, developed by Artlogic, the leader in digital technology for the art world, attracts additional attention to picture galleries and publishers in Paris, thereby boosting the artistic concepts they presented at the exhibition. It is an opportunity for collectors and art enthusiasts to swiftly obtain artworks and art publications, list their favorites, discover new talents, study the curators’ selections, and establish new collaborations with galleries and publishers from all over the world. In addition, visitors will have access to an online program created exclusively for Paris Photo.
Book Section
Beyond the galleries, Paris Photos is not complete without the publishers. They bring their knowledge of a number of photography books, enabling attendees to welcome 300 book signings throughout the event and also buy them. An initial jury selects a shortlist in response to a call for submissions. The shortlisted books are displayed at Paris Photo and profiled in The PhotoBook Review, Aperture’s biennial photobook publication distributed at Paris Photo and printed by Aperture magazine. A final jury announces the three category winners during the fair. The winner of the First PhotoBook category receives a $10,000 prize. The winners of the remaining two categories each receive a commemorative award.
