The Thunder Mustang is a modern 0.75 scale replica of the P-51 Mustang, seen here at the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show. There were a total of 37 complete or partial kits produced, including the prototype, before production ended in 1999. Under new ownership, Thunder Mustang kits are available once again. At this power to weight ratio, it outperforms the original North American P-51D fighter. Four Thunder Mustangs have competed at the Reno Air Races with top speeds of more than 415 mph.
