How To Make Baked Spiced Fish

This is an absolute treat for you and your guests or family! Such a flavourful dish that is so easy to make. Once yo have the spicy mixture made, all you have to do is coat your fish and bake.

Paleo Indian Fish Recipe – Baked Spiced Fish

Ingredients


  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 125 g grated coconut
  • Small piece of ginger (chopped)
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 green chillies (seeded and chopped)
  • 2 x 3 finger pinches chilli powder
  • Sprinkle of fresh chopped coriander
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt
  • 1 kg Cod Steaks

Method


  1. Fry the onion, coconut, ginger, garlic, chillies and chilli powder till onions go translucent. This takes around 3 minutes.
  2. Add salt, coriander, lemon juice and simmer till coconut is soft, this takes around 15 minutes.
  3. Oil bottom of a baking dish, place fish steaks on this and pour the spicy mixture from (2) over it.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 C (325 F or Gas Mark 3) for 25 minutes.
