Palak Puri Recipe

 Hi Everyone,

I hope you all are doing fine. Today I am sharing a easy breakfast recipe with you all after such a long time. This breakfast recipe is nutritious and delicious palak puri. Anyone can make it if you follow the simple instructions. They are made by mixing wheat flour
and spinach paste with some spices.

Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
Serves: 3-4 Approx

Ingredients: -

  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 kg Fresh Palak / Spinach
  • 1 tsp Ajwain / Carrom Seeds
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Green Chili Paste (Optional)
  • Water to knead
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

  •  Take the soft leaves of the spinach and discard the woody or fibrous stems.
  • Clean and wash thoroughly that no traces of mud or sand is left.
  • Boil some water and blanch the spinach. Keep aside to cool down.
  • Take the flour in a big bowl and add salt, turmeric powder, Ajwain, ginger garlic paste, and green chili paste if you like spicy.
  • When spinach is cooled down blend it in a blender in a coarse paste.
  • Add this spinach paste to the wheat flour mixture.
  • Start the kneading process by mixing the ingredients well and adding some water from time to time.
  • Don’t add too much of water as the dough needs to be a little hard and bot soft.
  • Once the kneading is done make small balls form them, roll them into small puris and deep fry in hot oil.

  • Serve with potato or chana curry. Which I will be sharing in my next post.
