I'm a fan of the author and really enjoyed Paladin's Strength. I haven't read the first book but don't feel like I missed out in any way. There are four books in the series, and I'd love to read them all. This is a well-written, engrossing and riveting read. I didn't want my time with Istvhan or Clara to end because I enjoyed their company so much. I loved the fact that Clara and the other nuns can turn into bad-ass bears. I loved this book.
