According to DPRK state media, State Affairs Commission vice chair and DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju (Pak Pong-chu) toured the Kim Cho’ng-t’ae Locomotive Complex on December 22, 2016 (Thursday). He was briefed about “the production at the complex and encourage the workers in their drive to bring about the surge in production.” It was also noted that the “officials and workers of the complex manufactured several electric locomotives during the 200-day campaign in the wake of the 70-day campaign.” During the consultative meeting, they discussed “measures for manufacturing electric locomotives with home-made equipment and materials.”

Pak Pong Ju also toured the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and “called for a dynamic drive to bring about a boost in the chuch’e-iron production through increased production.”
