Nice to meet you! I’m Paige, and I’ll be joining the team as a contributing writer.
My love for anime started with syndicated episodes of Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z in the ‘90s, with manga following soon after. More than twenty years after my first episode, I am every bit as enthusiastic about anime and manga. As a graduated creative writing and literature major, I’m drawn to titles with well-rounded characters and engaging plots, but the artistic experience of a series’ animation and soundtrack can be just as compelling.
Choosing a favorite anime of all time is tough, but I’d be remiss not to mention Baccano!, BECK, Big Windup!, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), and Gunslinger Girl. Manga-wise, BECK, Pandora Hearts, and Tokyo Ghoul are my must-read recommendations. I am a huge fan and supporter of English dubs and official translations and promote them whenever possible.
