Cosplay is, and always will be, a massive part of geek culture worldwide. From San Diego and New York conventions, to the guys and gals in London, to our very own conventions here in Australia: we nerds love to put on a bit of a spectacle now and then.
So it’s no surprise that the inaugural Oz Comic Con for Perth had its share of truly excellent cosplay and while I didn’t recognize every character and every franchise, I could seriously respect the level of effort put into the costumes and present to you some of the best from Day One of the con. Not everyone is here, there’s just too many of you and as always some of the photos just weren’t up to scratch.

Sexy Maid Deadpool is my new favorite Perth cosplayer. Not only was he fully into the role of DP but, as you’ll see, he was fucking everywhere.

We ran into Sexy Maid Deadpool later on, when he jumped between these two young ladies;
And again when taking shots of the Spideys! Incidentally, I was hunting for these Spider-Mans all over the damn convention. Every time I saw one, it was from a distance and by the time I got near them they had vanished into the ether. Glad I got a shot, and glad DP decided to jump in too
