Police Special Task Force (STF) arrested 125 Kilograms of Ammonium Nitrate, which is an explosive, while they were being transported in a cab by a businessman at Delgoda on Tuesday.
It is suspected that these explosives have been brought into the country illegally via sea from India as the import of Ammonium Nitrate into the country has been restricted by now. The STF has also recovered Rs.500,000 in cash in the possession of the businessman. Police are investigating.
