Outfit: Layering with Maxi Dresses

We are coming into my favorite time of year...maxi dress season! Ok, lets be honest, I wear them year round, but I always find the best time to shop and stock up on maxi dresses in during the spring and summer months.Here is how I layered one of my basic black maxi dresses for a spring night out with the hubby:

 Dress: Victoria's Secret, Blouse: Piperlime (similar), Bag: Rachel Zoe, Hat: JC Penny, Shoes: C/O Just Fab, Necklace: Urban Outfitters We had quick dinner date and then spent the night kid free watching the Hobbit in 3D at home followed by Game of Thrones and Mad Men. Yes that is a lot of TV for one night, but we don't get many kid free nights so it was really fun to have the sub turned up and not worry about waking anyone up! ;)  What do you think?
