I love having a dressy blazer in my closet. It's a quick way to glam up a simple black shell and trousers, looks fun over a graphic tee, can turn a work blouse and pants into festive attire. This look is essentially what I wore in my last outfit from the capsule wardrobe. Switching out the blazer and unbuttoning a few buttons on the shirt gives a more relaxed vibe that would be great anywhere from a holiday cocktail party to a networking event. After the holidays, the red blazer can feel fresh with a Breton top and trouser jeans, paired with a cream turtleneck and trousers, styled with a band tee and denim. Add non-holiday details like a leopard print belt or loafers or consider styling with hot pink to embrace a popular color combo trend for the season.
