One Shoulder Maxi Dress £48 Textured One Shoulder Dress £42 Wave Mesh Midi Bodycon Dress £45; all TopshopSo this may seem out of season - Christmas party season is now over, and there is usually little need for a new fancy outfit during the long and dreary month of January. And normally, I would entirely agree... but next weekend I am attending a black tie event, cue my sartorial panic!Naturally, my first stop in a fashion-crisis is Topshop. People are quick to slate good old Toppers, but I cant deny my love for their fashion-forward designs and wearable basics. I find myself checking out their New In section weekly (if not daily when in need of procrastination material!) and never fail to find something I instantly love. Yes, some things are overpriced, but I don't think any of the above dresses would fall into that category. I've particularly got my eye on the sexy little asymmetrical number in the centre, I love the style and the fabric looks quite heavy which means it should sit well. Something that'd last and is classic in its style. I equally love the maxi but just don't think I'd get as much wear out of it - I wish I had more smart events to attend! And finally I love the mesh midi on the right for its individuality; the sheer panelling and sophisticated length really appeal to me. Which of three would be your preference?
