Verdict on Our Little Secret
Recap
The movie follows a former couple who discovers they are dating siblings and must spend Christmas together. They must put aside their differences to make it through the holiday and impress their in-laws.
Best Parts
The movie uses a different dynamic to cover up a former couple and it shows how they must adapt to keep quiet. It has a few funny moments, usually more on Avery’s side of things when she gets into awkward situations. This also pokes fun at the fake over-the-top Christmas celebrations. It is good to see Lindsay Lohan getting more roles and she is fitting the romantic comedy genre nicely. There is also a nice message about understanding regrets and grief.
Worst Parts
We start by having Avery not getting along with the Yorkshire terrier and how she acts toward it. The other side comes from the new couple lacking any real chemistry and it makes them feel like they are dating to not be alone.
Final Thoughts – Our Little Secret is a charming, enjoyable Christmas comedy.
