Daddy and Momma cannot believe that you are 6 years old today!
It was about this time of the day when Daddy left for work and I was trying to decide whether to go on in to work or call the dr. which is what I ended up doing. I drove to the hospital thinking they would send me home but at 4 weeks ahead of schedule the dr told me to call your Daddy and tell him not to dilly-dally because we were having a baby!
Things we always want to remember about you at this stage in your life. No particular order:
- LOVE your high heels
- tried to sneak cookies to bed the other night and got BUSTED!
- still like to be rocked to sleep every now and then (and I love to do it!)
- you are the fanciest, girly girl and love to get all dressed up
- are interested in bugs and like to touch and pick them up! worms, frogs, etc
- spending the summer with Daddy at home
- such a loving, sweet , supportive and tender big sister to OM
- love your friends and get so excited to see them
- like being more independant but still want us to show interest in helping
- strawberry cupcakes (from Edgar's) are your favorite
- you don't like icing except strawberry; just give you the cake
- so proud to teach your brother new things "He learned that from me!" or " I taught him that"
- you are our deep thinker
- love going to work with Mommy
- prefer to carry your purse when you go out anywhere
- still have your very first bear that you take with you places and sleep with
- just had your very first sleepover to celebrate turning 6 (7 friends!)
- like having your hair short and off your neck. really want it stacked in the back like Mommy's
- still sneak into our bed in the middle of the night sometimes
- you are so very excited to be starting a new school for first grade!
- so very smart. explain something once and you've got it down!
- love to work on the computer. playing games, watching pbs kids, etc
- like helping out with things around the house. laundry, dusting, setting the table are a few
- you dream about going back to Disney and the beach!
- you crack yourself up just like your momma-we have great laughs together!
- practically beg Mommy to sleep with you each night-which I secretly love!
- love gymnastics and ballet. hope we can keep you in one of those
- pink is your favorite color with purple a close second
