Our Favourite Shops No.9

By Lwblog @londonwalks
Our Favourite Shops No.9Every Thursday we bring you The Daily Constitutional guide to the best of London shopping – independent, one man- and one-woman bands, unique boutiques, singular emporia and London institutions.
These are our favorite shops. To nominate your favorite shop for inclusion send us an email with a short description and a brief reason why you think it is the best shop in London.
Konditor & Cook
What: Yum Yum.
Where: 22 Cornwall Rd, SE1 8TW
Our Favourite Shops No.9
Why: Every Saturday morning the guides who lead the Somewhere Else London Walk have grown used to losing a number of London Walkers in Roupell Street.
Having worked up an appetite, the presence of the glorious Konditor & Cook is just too much for even the steeliest London Walker to resist.
Konditor is the German work for confectioner. And the confections on display include Scottish tablet – a particular favorite of Somewhere Else guide Adam.
This is the original branch of K&C, housed in the old Queen of Hearts bakery – but there are now five other K&C branches in central London.
