Osun Election: APC ‘Declares’ Adeleke Winner At ‘Pakurumo Supreme Court’

Posted on the 05 July 2019 by Naijaparry

The United Kingdom branch of Nigeria’s ruling party, All Progressives Congress ( APC), has mocked Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) by tweeting that he has won at the ‘Pakurumo Supreme Court’.

Naijaparry reports that the party’s UK branch mocked Adeleke after the Supreme Court on Friday upheld the election of the party’s candidate in the 2018 Osun governorship election,
Gboyega Oyetola.

Five of the seven judges on the court’s panel affirmed Oyetola’s victory.

Reacting to the judgment, the APC branch tweeted that Adeleke, who lost at the Supreme Court, won his election petition case at “Pakurumo Supreme Court” – a reference to Adeleke’s style of dancing.

“BREAKING: Sen Ademola Adeleke [@IsiakaAdeleke1] of @OfficialPDPNig wins @Pakurumo Supreme Court! In a unanimous judgment delivered by the Chairman of the Supreme court, Hon Justice Alanta the court upheld the one corner appeal thereby confirming AA as Gov,” APC UK, @APCUKingdom, tweeted.

Meanwhile, Adeleke has congratulated Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme Court.
Adeleke said he had accepted the
ruling of the apex court irrespective of his feelings and perception about the verdict.

He made this known in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
