One of the most terrible things in this world is ostracism.
The ancient Greeks, if I recall correctly, considered it comparable to the death penalty.
To be in conversation with an individual and find the necessity of cutting that conversation short due to hostility is always terrible when it happens. It is painful. However, when it does happen it reminds me of my ongoing friendships and conversations with those whose inclinations are not to denounce others, but to seek understanding.
I appreciate that more than I can say.
