Oregon 8-Year-old Shot By Dad Accidentally - No Charges

Local news reports An 8-year-old boy successfully underwent surgery Saturday after police said he was accidentally shot by his father. The boy's father was putting a shotgun into a gun safe when he accidentally shot his son, according to police. Police said the boy was inside a home in the 17900 block of SE Marie Street when the shooting was reported just after 2 p.m. Officers found the boy with a bullet wound in the abdomen.
