Orchards have shared ‘Groan’, the fourth song to be taken from upcoming album ‘Bicker’, which will be released by Big Scary Monsters on 28 March.
Inspired by a therapist asking her ‘Why do you feel the need to fix this?’, Lucy Evers weaves between feelings of frustration and catharsis as she realises the only person that is able to fix things is herself.
‘Groan’ is drenched in synths and sugar-sweet math-pop hooks as Lucy also ponders what ‘getting better’ actually means, while also trying to make sense of others and their behaviour: ‘I don’t know if it’s been long enough to call you home. It’s still lonely leading you to water when you say you’ve grown’
