Oprah Winfrey shared the news in the latest issue of Instyle Magazine.
Even though the media mogul is giving us all types of Madam President vibes with this cover photo, and that bomb Golden Globes speech, Lady O shared that she doesn’t have the DNA to be President.
“I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it.”
The publication also discussed the highly anticipated A Wrinkle In Time film, for which Oprah stars in.
“A Wrinkle in Time! I’ve been waiting for this moment. I love what this movie represents—gathering the light carriers, the people, the warriors who will be fighting against the dark.”
Oprah elaborated,
“Everything that’s happened has brought us to this point in time. We’ve been working our way through a lot of repressed pain, anger, shame, and disappointment. And we weren’t honoring our own voices. Now we’re here, and it took Harvey Weinstein* to burst that door wide open. But Harvey wasn’t the first one. It was Bill Cosby before him, and Bill O’Reilly before him.
