Duminda adamant on staying put

Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva at a press conference in Colombo yesterday said that a set of opportunists who have joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party recently have started pointing fingers at them for defecting the party.
He said that the these elements are not aware that it was the SLFP which first took decision to support the government in power to form a national government to addressing burning issues of the country
Silva said that the party has not officially informed them about their removal from the party. “We will take legal action after we are informed about the suspension of party membership”, he said
The Minister said former President Maithripala Sirisena as the chairman of the SLFP sought ministerial position for the SLFP from the President in May. “Now he says that joining the government and accepting ministerial positions is wrong”, he said.
Former SLFP National Organizer Duminda Dissanayake said that he will never leave the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
