The Reno Oppo series has been around since 2019, usually targeting the mid-range segment and offers slippery designs. Now, the company has launched the Oppo Reno 8 Pro in the global market, so what should you expect?
Maybe a prominent feature is a mobile design, bringing the Oppo Find X5 Pro to the mind. It offers a rear cover and a camera lump made of the same glass, but you also get a flat edge here. This design is synonymous with Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus, which was launched in China earlier this year.
More than just a good design?
Reno 8 Pro shared more than just a display with Reno 8 Pro Plus. It also has the same specifications sheet, such as the MediaTek Mid-Range upper dimension of 8100-Max, the OLD+ 120Hz 6.7-inch screen, 4,500mAh battery, and 80W cable charging speed.
Turning to the field of photography, this device has Marisiliconx imaging chips at home. The company says this chip is used for better 4K low light videos, better 4K HDR videos, and higher quality selfies.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Hot or not?
Reno 8 Pro features a triple rear camera system, which consists of the 50MP IMX766 main camera, 8MP Ultrawide lens, and 2MP macro shooter. Look at the front and you have a 32MP IMX709 RGBW camera for selfies.
Other important features include Bluetooth 5.3, Color OS 12.1 above Android 12, Multiple Stereo Speakers, Fingerprint Sensors being rotated, and Wi-Fi 6.
Oppo does not reveal prices at the time of writing, but we hope this is a little cheaper than Reno 7 Pro last year. The older cellphone was launched at RS 39,999 (~ $ 500), and we thought it was questioned in our review at that time.
