OPPO has launched its latest flagship, the OPPO F5, in India. Like OnePus, even OPPO skipped the number “4” and have launched the successor to OPPO F3. The OPPO F5 comes with an updated design and a 20-megapixel front selfie camera. The phone, however, looks identical to Vivo V7+ (review).
OPPO F5 Specifications
The OPPO F5 follows the latest trend of 18:9 aspect ratio and houses a FHD+ display with 2160 x 1080 resolution. It comes in two variants based on the inbuilt storage and RAM. Both the variants are powered by a MediaTek MT6763T octa-core SoC, Corning gorilla glass 5 protection and runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The OPPO F5 comes with a triple slot sim tray that supports two nano sims and one Micros SD card for storage expansion. It houses a 20-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.The compoany claims that its the industry’s first device to come with AI-powered beautification for selfies. A 16-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and an f/1.8 aperture is located on the rear.

Oppo F5 price in India
OPPO F5 price in India starts at Rs. 19,990 for the 4GB+32GB variant. It will have Gold and Black color options. While the 6GB RAm variant that comes with 64GB internal storage is proced at Rs. 24,990 and will be available in Red and Black color options. The 6GB variant will be available from December.
The OPPO F5 will be available to purchase from November 9 on Flipkart andwill be available at retail stores soon after. Flipkart is offering exchange discount of up to Rs. 18,500 with the phone.
OPPO also announced the Oppo F5 Youth version with a 6-inch display and will have the same AI beautification features however the Oppo F5 Youth will be launched in India in December and no more further information was shared on this.
