Oppo A56 5G was revealed in China today as the new budget 5G smartphone. The phone comes as a successor to the Oppo A55 5G was unveiled back in January this year along with MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core series. Oppo A56 comes with a waterdrop notch display, MediaTek entry-level 5G chipset, dual rear camera, large battery, and more.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is accompanied by 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, the smartphone boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch with f/2.0 aperture. The device is running on Android 11 with COlor OS 11.1 on top.

Oppo A56 5G comes in a solo configuration of 6GB + 128GB priced at 1599 yuan ( Rs. 18,800 approx ) and the company offered the phone in three color options namely Soft fog black, wind chime purple, and cloud smoke blue. The device is up for pre-registration in China and there is no information regarding the availability outside China.
