Following discussions with Blockchain developer Mr., OpenSea has decided to donate an undisclosed amount to the charity ‘Girls Who Code.’ This information was obtained as a consequence of an exploit identified in OpenSea by an anonymous ‘white hat’ hacker named Mr.
The reward money offer given in return for finding the issue, as well as the extra criteria, was unsatisfactory to the Quantum Tech Project/Product Lead. According to Mr., OpenSea will make a significant gift to the ‘Girls Who Code’ initiative.
He confirmed the most recent update on the situation in a tweet put out this morning. “In exchange for all of our knowledge regarding their vulnerability, OpenSea has opted to make a gift to Girls Who Code,” he stated. “Right now, we’re working on the details.”
Meanwhile, the news that Mr. is now willing to provide the details of the exploit he uncovered will come as a comfort to OpenSea. Significantly, the NFT platform was recently subjected to a major security breach that cost them millions of dollars as well as the people who utilized it.
People who report bugs to the platform are treated in a certain way, according to the website. They provide a predetermined reward to everyone who assists them as a thank you. Furthermore, some people feel the stakes are too low in comparison to the scope of the issue.
