Opening Weekend For 'Carrie'

Opening Weekend For 'Carrie' Two days ago, the remake - or retelling of Stephen King's classic novel; however you wish to look at it - of 'Carrie' opened in theatres. I haven't seen the movie myself yet, and while I've not read any reviews or much else about what others thought, in effort to remain unbiased before seeing for myself, I do know that Rotten Tomatoes currently gives it a freshness of 51% - that is 51% for critics, but it is 64% for users - and IMDB's user rating has it listed at a 6.6/10 right now. I also know that according to BoxOfficeMojo.com, 'Carrie' has so far managed to rake in $17 million in ticket sales. That's about half of it's production budget made in the opening weekend, which ain't half bad.
I'm looking forward to going to check this out myself next weekend, which is likely when I'll get a chance to do so. Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore both look good in the roles, from what I saw in trailers, and I already know that the story is great. I doubt I'll be able to stay away from of the discussions and reviews for a week, however. There's no doubt I'll be reading and hearing what people thought, not being able to keep my curiosity in check. I'm okay with that though, because no matter what I read, I'm still going to check out the flick for myself. I'll let you know my thoughts when I do!
