Ooshka Festival in Glasgow

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

Take a journey through the beers and spirits of Scotland

Scotland produces some of the world’s best-loved drinks and what better way to celebrate this thriving industry than with an experiential festival on Glasgow’s iconic Tall Ship.

Ooshka Festival aims to showcase the journey, production and stories of the beers and spirits of Scotland through tastings, master-classes and interactive workshops. With many of Scotland’s whisky festivals being dominated by trade professionals, Ooshka will introduce a new generation of people to the brilliant well known, and up & coming brands from our home country. Big Frank Murphy from Pot Still in Glasgow will be heading up the educational portion, and the day of sampling, experiential master-classes and live music is set to be an unmissable event in Glasgow’s summer calendar.

The festival will be held on 12th September 2015 on Glasgow’s Tall Ship, located next to the Transport museum. Hosting the festival here ties in to Scotland’s rich history in the trading and transport of Whisky all over the world.

Ooshka Festival starts at 11am until 6.30pm with tickets costing just £10, which includes 5 samples from the exhibitors. An array of Scottish themed food will be on offer from local café, Devils Deli, and then in the evening the Tall Ship will be transformed into an alternative Ceilidh.
