In the midst of all Brouhaha over the superior launch of Oneplus 10 consisting of the basic versions and pro variants, we also report that the device powered by the new MediaTek dimensity chipset is in work. It seems like this can be Oneplus 10R which can be launched in the second quarter of 2022.
A report published on Android Central said Oneplus 10R will be launched in the second quarter of 2022 in addition to the ONEPLUS standard 10. Readers might remember that the Oneplus 10 Pro variant goes official in China, three months earlier than the time we usually have seen in the past .
At the end of last year, OnePlus has indicated a program to launch a cellphone where the mainstay device will be followed by the R-series targeted at the Regional and Oneplus Nord markets and Oneplus Nord CE devices aimed at middle class customers. This year, we also expect oneplus entry-level that can arrive with nord-n moniker.
Travel from Qualcomm to MediaTek for Oneplus
Since arriving at that place, Oneplus has gone exclusively with a Qualcomm chipset, a broken trend with Oneplus Nord 2 which gets dimensity mediatek 1200. By doing that, the company is also committed to using more chipsets from MediaTek.
OnePlus seems to have chosen the dimensity of MediaTek 9000 chipset as the second of this series for a simple reason compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which moves the Flaglus in the Oneplus 10 line. The chipset gets the same core configuration that places the X2 cortex along the Core A710 and A510.
The company does not want to use chipsets on other handsets that can be done with the fact that the dimensity of 9000 is the ideal choice for North America. This is caused by an integrated 5G modem that it carries which does not allow mmwave connectivity used by US networks such as T-Mobile and Verizon.
Oneplus 10r – Specifications, Price, Launch Details
Oneplus 10R can display an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh speed and at least 8GB of RAM is paired into 128GB of internal storage. There are not many other things available about the device even though we expect leakage starting to scroll at any time. We will update you with this information when we accept it.
Tipster Yogesh Brar also claims that Oneplus will start testing this device with their integrated OS that appears following the Oppo-Oneplus merger.
The device can be launched towards the end of June, mostly due to the delay faced by Oneplus in the release of its predecessor, Oneplus 9RT in India. This device was originally scheduled to be launched in October but the problems around the lack of chipsets and oxygenos 12 stability pushed it to January 2022.
Oneplus 9RT is valued at Rs.42,999 to RS. Range of 46,999 and reportedly that Oneplus 10r will come (or will it be Oneplus 10RT in India?) Can have a cheaper price because of the MediaTek chipset. This is this case, the initial launch can prove the detrimental cycle of the sales model.
The report claims that Oneplus 10R will debut in China and India to start but can end in other specific geography in Europe as well. However, we have no information about this now.
From the Indian point of view, Oneplus 10R with the dimensity of MediaTek 9000 chipsets can help the brand position of aggressive devices in the middle class category which currently witnesses competition between Samsung and Xiaomi devices. If it can be placed around the RS.35,000 – RS.38,000 range, Oneplus can cut the pan through the competition.
