One Man, 100 000 Toothpicks and 35 Years: An Amazing Sculpture of San Francisco

By Inspirion @GoodMood20

If you are seeking for inspiration and and true meaning of the word determination then take a look at this guy. 35 years + 100 000 toothpicks + 1 man = incredibly amazing sculpture of San Francisco.

Scott Weaver started his insanely complex kinetic sculpture back in 1974 and he is still adding new things too it. It all started from Golden Gate Bridge and Lombard street sculptures that Scott built first and over the years kept on adding new parts of San Francisco. "Rolling through the Bay", as he named his masterpiece, is made out of 100 000 toothpicks, yes toothpicks, believe it or not. The elaborate sculpture is comprised of multiple "tours" that move ping pong balls through neighborhoods, historical locations, and iconic symbols of San Francisco, all recreated with a little glue, some toothpicks, and an incredible amount of ingenuity.

Take a look at this truly talented but unbelievably patient artist. (Scroll down for a video)
