One Hobby I Wish I Could Revive #WriteAPageADay #pebbleinwaterswrites @blogchatter

If a hobby I wish I could revive, what would it be and why would I want to revive it?  I believe, hobbies can change with age and maturity.  I am talking of both age and maturity together because even with increasing age, if childish behavior remains the same and there is no change in it, then hobbies often remain the same.  Yes, if there is an increase in seriousness with age, then maturity in thinking and understanding also gets enhanced.  Then, it is imperative to change hobbies with that change.

There is another aspect to this as well.  Some people are older than age, some equal to age, and some less than age.  Now those who fall in the first category, whose maturity is more than their age, then they are likely to have very serious and matured hobbies even at a very young age.  For example, many children of the same age may be playing, and some children of the same age may be doing something different instead of playing.  For example, these other category of children would be reading literature, understanding nature, trying something new, or spending time with children older than them.

I was fond of reading comics in childhood, but a bit later, within a few years, I became fond of reading literary books by the time I reached higher school.  During my school days I had read books of legends of literature like Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Mohan Rakesh, Amrita Pritam, Agyeya, Saadat Hasan Manto, Rabindranath Thakur, Khushwant Singh, Khalil Gibran, Leo Tolstoy, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Mirza Ghalib, Sahir Ludhianvi, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Ila Chandra Joshi , and read the books by many other similar authors.  Some of those books I read more than once.

I remember that during my school days a monthly magazine of literature was started called Kathadesh.  I used to take it every month.  It used to be a thin magazine, but it contained a rich dose of literary writing.  With age, the companionship of books also started increasing.  But at the same time, the amount of time started decreasing in them because I had to spend time in other tasks and deeds.  And because of this after some time it happened that the hobby in books started decreasing.  The situation has gone such that in spite of the time, the hand does not move towards the books and the attention does not prompts to spend some time reading a book.

If I am able to revive this old hobby of mine like it used to be full of passion, then the enjoyment of life will move to another level.
