Verdict: Important documentary
Story: One Day in September starts as it continues to go on by using achieve footage as we see Munich preparing for the 1972 Olympic games. We hear interviews from family members of the victims of the attack as they celebrate their lives and what they offered to the world. We also hear from one of the surviving terrorists as he explains about what had been with the training that they received.
We learn that German lower their security levels to appear friendly to the incoming nations as bridges were still built after World War II. September 5th after a successful games the terrorist headed for the Israeli athletes. The terrorists line up the Israeli once everything is calm the media catches on and this terrorist attack becomes the only talking point in the Olympics. What follows is the footage of the tragic event and the stories from the victims family’s.
One Day in September is a film that tells us the shocking true story that made the world stop during one of the my celebrated sports events in history. I feel this shows how far we have come with dealing with terrorism but it is still a problem we are dealing with today. I do feel that this is one to watch but I also think it was very difficult to put this together due to the sensitive subjects that would be used from real footage. It is a film that shows a shocking truth and should be watch. (8/10)
