on Saying “yes to God”. {Ann Voskamp Quotes!}

By Sydneygrace @SydneyGrace121

I love Lysa TerKeurst. I was introduced to her blog last year, and I love it. I read all of her posts. In addition to her lovely blog posts, Lysa seems to host a webcast every few months or so. I always tune in. When the webcast is over, I’m always so encouraged. She is just so relatable & inspiring!

Waaaay back in September, Lysa TerKeurst and Ann Voskamp did a webcast together. The topic was “saying yes to God”. I already told you I love Lysa…but add Ann to the mix? They are pretty much the ultimate duo. Of all the webcasts I’ve tuned into, this one was my favorite. It was all about how to say yes to God in every area of our lives. How to surrender. Because when we’re saying a confident, “yes!” to all He has to offer, that’s when we will be the happiest & most prosperous in life.  It was an amazing.

When I watched the webcast, I ended up taking some notes during Ann Voskamp’s turn talking. Today, I’m sharing those notes with you! All of this is directly quoted from what Ann said. I simply listened and copied down! You don’t have to have seen the webcast for any of this to make sense, and {as always with Ann Voskamp things!} I think you’ll be encouraged.

Enjoy!

Peace is not the absense of the dark…. Peace is the assurance of God’s presence in the dark.

Before we can say yes to doing God work in the world… We have to say yes to who God says we are in this world.

In God, you are never a mess… you are made new.

In God, you are never a loser… you are lavished in love.

In God, you are not wrecked… you are rescued.

Peace is not a place. Peace is a person to say “yes” to.

You can say yes to God because He stretched out His arms wide and said “yes” to you first.

There is no yield in this world until we yeild our yes to the Lord.

Don’t partition God off in to a box… make him your companion.

It’s not what you accomplish at the end of the way, it’s who you have been with.

“Balance” isn’t real.

When Christ is your axis, He is your balance point.

Whatever the problem is, Christ always WINS.

 Will you say “yes” to the way He loves you IN THIS MOMENT?
