Verdict on ‘On Fire’

On Fire is an action thriller following a family’s attempt to escape a devastating wildfire. It looks like everything might avoid them, but when the fire becomes more violent, they must figure out how to escape.

This movie feels like the second half of ‘Dante’s Peak’ minus the volcano. The battle the family must overcome to survive the raging fire and the challenges they face. It is intense with how everything unfolds, keeping you on edge, waiting to see if they can safely escape. Sure, there are a few obvious challenges, and it feels like many other disaster movies, following a family trying to escape. But it does everything it says on the tin and grabs our attention, using a very real problem the world is facing.
