Story: Omen IV: The Awakening starts when Karen (Grant) and Gene (Woods) adopt a young girl Delia (Vieira). Delia is welcomed into the family early on but soon starts to show darker tendencies. As Karen tries to figure out if anything is wrong with Delia, she tries to learn more about her past.
However, Delia is becoming powerful and using her powers to push people who cause her troubles out of her life. Creating a string of bodies along the way, proving herself as the next Antichrist.
Verdict on Omen IV: The Awakening
Omen IV: The Awakening is an attempted reboot of the Omen franchise. It follows a new young girl that has questionable behavior problems after the people around her start dying in accidents. This sees the parents trying to figure out the truth before it is too late.
A soft reboot for the Omen did seem to hold the movie back because it all feels like a held-back version of the original. It never brings us enough to make us get any shock in what we are seeing. Unfortunately, this will end up going down as a weak entry in the franchise, which continued a downward spiral.
Final Thoughts – Omen IV: The Awakening continued the downward spiral of the franchise.
