Omega Strikers Guide – This guide offers a list of fundamental tips and strategies for all the game’s roles to Omega Strikers players. Let’s see them!
Omega Strikers Guide – Overview
This is only a short collection of fundamental strategies and tips that should be helpful to novice gamers or those trying out different characters. I’ll make an effort to update as I have new ideas or if anyone has any suggestions. In case there are any changes that should be made, do let me know.
Before I start, let me say that I currently think there are three different types of characters. Poker, Bruiser, and Controllers are these types. Below the general suggestions, I’ll add tips specifically for each type of character, but for now, this is a breakdown of what places a character in that category. Some characters can fall into more than one category, like Dubu, who is all three. (This is a subjective evaluation; there may be a more official classification somewhere.)
Roles
Pokers
They are also called to me as precision characters or harassers. They frequently deal ranged damage to their opponents. When an opponent is approaching an edge with low health, these characters can finish them off by stunning them to make them miss a shot or suddenly diverting the ball. By passing the ball around the goaltender, these characters frequently score goals. These are characters that can make plays out of apparently nowhere but require accurate aim to play properly.
Bruisers
Brawlers or bullies They can knock at anyone who comes close to an edge even when they are fully staggered, dealing heavy damage rapidly and typically from close range (health). By hitting both the target and the ball in one stroke, they push the front line and put tremendous pressure on the other team. By piercing the goalie’s defense and being in their face, they frequently score goals.
Although these characters are quite simple to play, a skilled player can turn them into a nightmare to deal with.
Controllers
Supporters or PITAs. To exert influence over the battlefield and their opponents, they employ buffs, debuffs, AoEs, and summoned items. They use a variety of strategies to both attack and defend, frequently involving movable objects. They have intricate personalities that can be summed up as keeping the opponent from performing their task. Due to the complexity and variety of these characters, a skilled player can easily score against the opponent while a poor player will accidentally damage their own team.
Omega Strikers Guide – General Tips
- Aim your hits above or downwards in addition to forward. This can confuse the opposition and create a gap for your team. For goalies, this is especially true.
- Always try to pass to a teammate instead of an opponent if you are the goalie.
- Try to stand in an open area when you are a forward and NEVER stand in the goal.
- If attackers approach the edge, attack them so you may push them back. If the goaltender approaches their own goal too closely, they may be attacked.
- Unless it is part of your strategy and you have a team you can trust to keep the ball out of the goal, don’t concentrate on knocking opponents out.
- Play chicken with the ball when it’s at or close to the goal. The cooldown means that if the adversary hits first, they probably won’t get the chance to hit twice if you time it well. Therefore, wait to hit it back until after the enemy has done so.
- The goal should only contain the goaltender. No matter which side of the field the ball is on, forwards should be there. Get on your side if it is on your side, but stay out of the goal. If it’s on the other team’s side, join them and, if you can, participate in their objective.
- Avoid going too close to the edge, especially when there are Bruisers nearby or when your stagger is low. If you’re reckless, they’ll knock you out.
- When the ball is in the goal of the opposition, use your skills. They may even KO the goaltender while striking the ball and cause extreme goalie harassment.
- You are not required to keep moving toward the adversary goal. If you detect an opening and your ally is prepared to receive a pass, pass it to them so they can complete the shot. The goalie will nearly always be surprised by this.
- First and hard, strike. This game has levels, and they play a surprisingly significant role. You can easily obtain a significant advantage in speed, KO ability, cooldown reductions, and several other factors based on your skills if you can quickly level up while denying your opponents levels. Snowballing does occur, although it largely ends once both teams reach level 10. Use that early snowball to your benefit.
Omega Strikers Guide – Goalies
When the ball is going to enter the other side of the goal while you are on one side, remember to use your movement options (spacebar).
Play chicken with the ball and aim away from the opponent (up or down) if they are pushing you hard and have the ball in your face, or, if you are Asher or Dubu, use your special move to push the ball out, protect the goal, and do damage to them all at once.
When the ball is far away and someone is bothering you in the goal, don’t be scared to strike them while keeping a safe distance from the edge of your goal. If you can, try to KO them in your objective.
