Olympic Games 2012 - the Sports Prostitute Issue

Olympic Games 2012 - the Sports Prostitute issuedespite the graphic used for this post, this isn't about whether you can call it a RESTAURANT let alone give it the title 'official restaurant' for the 2012 Olympics. I mean, we have some great British restaurant chains who could have been hailed as such, some amazing chefs who might have been worthy of the title, but that's not what the Olympics is about - is it?
I keep wondering (cynically) whether IOC is all about murdering economies like the Greek one finally did to their country. As (I fear) the UK one will finally do to ours, come Summer.
But either of those contentious thoughts is nothing compared to the SPORTS PROSTITUTION that's (quite literally) making me want to GAG a little vomit into my mouth every time one of those poor endentured sports whores makes a sleazy marketing promo for some Private Interest on Mainstream Media.
The corporate sponsorship of sportspeople isn't new. It's been going on for decades. I understand why it's done, but I don't agree with it. No, sir, not one bit. But (unfortunately for sports people who 'just wanna be the best') sports sponsorship has become the ONLY WAY these amazing athletes can afford to do what they do (on this pathetic private Prison Planet) where you're a slave or you're a criminal.
I've never seen it SO BLATANTLY exploited as has happened through Spring prior to the London 2012 Olympics, all over the place; shamelessly.
I'll not name any of these poor sporting souls, nor will I plaster images of their prostitutional activities for their corporate paymasters on this blog; they're already demeaned by their acts, so no knife-twisting from Free Planet. Basically, you know who they all are. You've seen them all over mainstream media in the last few weeks.
Reminds me of the "drink coke" future-advertisement from satirical legend Bill Hicks.
