Verdict: Solid Little Comedy
Story: Oliver, Stoned starts by explaining the crime in the city and this will just be a story about Oliver (Cassell). Oliver works for his dad Jeff (Gardner) in a car wash where he is a completely waster. We watch Oliver ditch work to get high with his weed dealer Benson (Mahoney) but as Oliver gets stoned her starts to question his future life because he friends are settling down.
When Oliver is given one last chance to impress his dad or he is getting kick out, but when Oliver loses the car he is meant to be transporting leaving he to try and find the car. Oliver ends up take the ice cream truck belonging to the man he believes to have stolen his car. Along the way he meets the beautiful Megan (Grant) and the pair start working on selling ice creams to make some money.
Overtime Oliver has to learn to grown up and face the truth about his life.
Oliver, Stoned is a style of film I wouldn’t usually enjoy but I found myself enjoying this one, as many of the readers know I am not interested in a drug focused storyline. When I watched this one I did find myself enjoying the fact that the lead character learnt that his drug abuse is causing his problems and he will need to clean up his act to move forward with his life. Apart from the drug taking I did see a lot of Oliver in myself where he is struggling to know what he wants from life and finds an addiction to fill the void. I can see a lot of people calling this a cheaper ‘Dude, where’s my car?’ but in the end I think the story suits the characters nicely. (7/10)

Director Review: Tom Morris – Tom brings us a comedy that has a lead character stoner but doesn’t actually feel like a drug comedy. (7/10)
