Like any place that’s new, Le Mall has been packed ever since it opened a couple of weeks ago. The over 20 restaurants there are flooded with guests day and night, leaving little choice for late comers to try something new. Olio, an Italian eatery was the only place that welcomed us. Thank you Olio for being nice, but you shouldn’t have. It was overcrowded and I suggest that you welcome people if you actually have the place and not squeeze more people to fit.
“A few minutes after sitting, I later I felt like leaving honestly. I felt very claustrophobic”.
What I didn’t like:
- The ceiling is too low
- The place is very dark for a casual eatery
- The tables are too close to each other, no space to move
- They fit 10 people on a table of six
- The waiters are still lost and somehow unprofessional
- Forgetful waiters. Several orders didn’t come and the others came twice
What we ordered
- Shrimp Tempura: It’s alright to fill the initial hunger, but the taste is dull, meaning there is no real taste of shrimps.
- Caprese Mozzarella Salad: It’s less than average to be honest. The order was forgotten and came at the very end, after I had munched on everything else on the table. It doesn’t taste as appetizing as it looks it. The Mozzarella is very and I am going to say it again, very dry. I honestly did not like it.
- Selection of Sushi: Made by Soto, their sister restaurant. The order came minus a few pieces.
- Pizza: Finally something’s good
- Edamame: Generous portions with just the right amount of salt
- Dumplings: Not bad, but it can be less sticky
- Chevre Salad: Tasty
- Mushrooms mixed with parsley on a piece of bread.
I usually like the place and maybe I should have sat outside, but there weren’t any places. But in all cases they should seat the right amount of people and cater to them properly without overwhelming themselves.
