Oktoberfest kicks off at WEST Brewery
Dust off your lederhosen and dirndls; it’s time for delicious food, oompah tunes and plenty of artisan beer, as the Oktoberfest celebrations kick off at WEST Brewery! Returning to the Templeton building on Friday 10th 17th and 24th October, this year’s “wiesn” will be the best yet, with a brand new food menu, music from The Brasswurst Bavarian Beer Band, and a delicious new recipe for WEST’s famous Oktoberfestbier!
Costing just £22.95, tickets include entry to the party and a traditional two-course Bavarian dinner. Starters include beef and red pepper Goulash soup, or soup of the day; whilst mains include Jäger schnitzel; Currywurst; and Semmelknödel.
Starting at 8pm, The Brasswurst Bavarian Beer Band will add to the wunderbar party atmosphere with a mix of traditional oompah tunes and modern classics, getting guests on their feet and in fine voice!
Not forgetting the main event, WEST will serve their eclectic range of artisan beers – all brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516 – which dictates that only barley, hops, water and yeast can be used to create the perfect beer.
Sample WEST’s crisp signature St Mungo lager, or the dark and rich Dunkel, and of course don’t forget the famous Oktoberfestbier, brewed with noble hops, giving a balance between malty sweetness and a spicy, earthy finish. Stay in the party spirit throughout October, as 100 kegs of Oktoberfestbier will be available at WEST Brewery, WEST on the Corner and a number of bars across Glasgow, but be quick, once they’re gone, they’re gone!
