Recently, Knob Creek Bourbon partnered with top mixologists from across the country to create unique twists on the Old Fashioned cocktail. They were challenged to flex their mixology muscles and create their own unique interpretation utilizing the four core ingredients of the cocktail - bourbon, ice, bitters and citrus.
Boulevardier's Eddie Eakin used Knob Creek Rye to create an Old Fashioned with Sarsaparilla, a traditional flavor originally used in Texas and the American West during the 1950s and is now found in root beer. The Sarsaparilla Old Fashioned blends the unique flavors of vanilla, honey and sarsaparilla that highlight the spicy undertones of Knob Creek Rye.
Here's his recipe for you to enjoy at home. Cheers!
