Officially Nicolas Ghesquière is the artistic director of Louis Vuitton
After a long silence, the French fashion house, Louis Vuitton finally officially announced the name of the future artistic director of its women’s line. As expected, it is Nicolas Ghesquière .
The French designer like you know very well was for 15 years the head designer at another French fashion house, Balenciaga ,after starting his career working for designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler, Ghesquièrea will take immediately his position at Louis Vuitton. In a statement, Louis Vuitton said that Ghesquière give “a modern creative vision to the house’s women’s collections, building on the values of refinement, savoir faire and extreme quality.”
“Louis Vuitton has always incarnated for me the symbol of ultimate luxury, innovation and exploration,” Ghesquière said. “I am very honored of the mission that I am entrusted with, and proud to join the history of this great maison. We share common values and a vision.”
