Office Flowers After the Festive Season

Office flowers after the festive season

As we approach Christmas, we tend to feel a rise in excitement and joy. This feeling tends to continue as we enjoy the week leading up to the New Year. However, once all the holiday celebrations are over, it can leave many people feeling down and a little depressed. This is all the more reason to decorate your workplace with beautiful office flowers and help keep those spirits lifted.

Out with the old

There are few things sadder than walking into your office two or three weeks after New Year's and you see all the Christmas decorations still up. If you have an office tree, wreaths and other decorations, they should be taken down during the first week of the New Year. If you have festive office flowers and they are still fresh and beautiful, you can enjoy them for as long as they last. Remove them as soon as the bouquet begins to wilt. If you have put silk flowers on display for the holidays, you should clean them and pack them away for the following year.

Embrace the season

After clearing away all of the festive décor, your office space might feel a bit empty and void of colour. When you look outside, nature is dormant and will be for the next couple of months at least. So, to prevent the winter blues from really setting in, you should start browsing for office flowers. The right flowers can help everyone embrace the beauty of winter while making your working environment that much more pleasant. Consider white bouquets with some lush greenery or even some gentle pastel shades if you like. If you are struggling with ideas, you can always check out the winter flower arrangements that your florist has to offer.

Keep it subtle and clean yet effective

You don't have to go all out when choosing office flowers in the winter. In fact, it's best if they are subtle yet elegant. After all the bright decorations that once overrun the space during the holidays, something subtle will prove to be a wonderful change for everyone.

Consider plants

If you want something that will last longer than fresh cut office flowers, you should consider ordering a plant for your office. The plant you choose will depend on several factors. Firstly, you need to evaluate the environment and choose a plant that will enjoy these conditions. Secondly, you need to understand how to care for the plant properly in order to help it thrive. Finally, you need to choose a plant that will not outgrow its space or, at least, not anytime soon.

Now that you have plenty of wonderful office flowers and plant ideas, it's time to start browsing. If you are unsure, you can always ask a professional florist for some suggestions and get an employee or co-worker to offer their opinion too.
