Offensive-zone Tendencies for Habs Centres

By Kicks @Chrisboucher73

This post will focus on the tendencies of each of the Habs usual centremen when in possession of the puck in the offensive-zone. The higher the percentage, the more often that player has chosen that specific option.
Only even-strength events in the offensive-zone are included.
TOMAS PLEKANEC
Plekanec has chosen to cycle the puck more often than any other Montreal center. Only Desharnais has attempted more passes off of the rush than Plekanec.

DAVID DESHARNAIS
Desharnais has attempted to pass off of the rush more often than the Habs' other centres. He has also been the most-likely to attempt a pass to the slot. Desharais has shot only 9.1% of the time he has had possession of the puck in the offensive-zone; a low among the players included here. He also attempts the most east/west passes across the opposition's defensive-box.

LARS ELLER
Eller has been more likely to attempt to beat a player 1-on-1 in the offensive-zone than any other Montreal center. He has also attempted the lowest percentage of passes to the slot, while attempting the most dekes along the wall. Eller is also the least-likely among these players to attempt a pass off of the rush.

RYAN WHITE
White has chosen to shoot when in possession of the puck in the offensive-zone more often than any other player included here. Only Desharnais has been more likely to attempt a pass to the slot, or an east/west pass. Surprisingly, White has been more likely to attempt to beat a player 1-on-1 than Tomas Plekanec.
