Offensive-zone Successful-pass Numbers Above Replacement

By Kicks @Chrisboucher73
This post will focus on the offensive-zone passing numbers of Habs players during the 2013-14 regular season and 2014 playoffs. The data will reflect how each player's SUCCESSFUL passing numbers compare to an average player playing the same position. The calculation is performed simply by subtracting the average per-60 produced by players playing the same position from the average per-60 produced by a specific player. The higher the value, the better that player performed in comparison to an average player at the same position.
Only successful attempts at each player were used in this calculation.
A list of all the events tracked can be found here.
EVEN-STRENGTH OFFENSIVE-ZONE PASSES PER-60 ABOVE REPLACEMENT
Many of the Habs top offensive-players produced strong numbers within this metric. Among wingers, Max Pacioretty completed the most successful offensive-zone passes per-60 above replacement, while Travis Moen completed the fewest.
Among centres, Pacioretty's linemate; David Desharnais had the highest passing numbers above replacement.
PK Subban and Andrei Markov were the only two defensemen with o-zone passing totals that were significantly above replacement value.

ES OFFENSIVE-ZONE PASSES TO THE SLOT PER-60 ABOVE REPLACEMENT
An offensive-zone pass-to-the-slot is among plays considered "scoring plays" within my system. Expected goal and shot values can be found here. Not surprisingly, the top producers in this category are also among the top scoring-chance producers.
Among wingers, Thomas Vanek was well above replacement value within this metric, while Desharnais led all centres. Subban, Markov, and Nathan Beaulieu led all d-men in this category.

ES OFFENSIVE-ZONE CYCLE PASSES PER-60 ABOVE REPLACEMENT
Cycle passes are not a scoring play; although they do help team's maintain possession of the puck in the offensive-zone; an achievement with significant value in-and-of-itself.
Pacioretty and Dale Weise produced more successful cycle-passes per-60  than any other Habs player; although Weise's sample size was significantly smaller than average. Plekanec led all centres in this metric, while Jarred Tinordi's small sample size gave him the highest above-replacement value among defensemen.
