What a great adventure I had in New York! I wish I was still there on holiday (sigh), but I don't think my credit card could handle anymore thrashing! So with shopping in mind, lets kick off the week with some New York fashion. These photos were taken in various districts in NYC and not just hipsterville (Williamsburg). To be perfectly honest, I think there is more edgier fashion in London on mass (yes I'm lucky I live in such a cosmopolitan city).
Many of the Americans I saw seemed to be dressed quite conservatively in blue jeans, trainers, and a plain coloured top with the added accessory of a small dog. I also found some of the 'hipsters' (especially in Williamsburg) to be quite unfriendly, maybe the ones I interacted with were just having a bad day and didn't want their photo taken by some strange London blogger! Now I'm not saying they were all like that, as the ones I've captured here were uber trendy, lovely to chat to and can definitely work an outfit. Sorry for the lack of fashionable men, it was always the wrong moment to snap away. I did notice, however, the NYC hipster guys often go for the pushed back beanie look and don't wear skintight skinny jeans like they do over here - and Ray Bans are still a must have accessory!
