Carmelo Anthony has been carrying the Knicks on his shoulders for 3-and-a-half seasons already and he has yet to come close to a much coveted Championship ring. With the All-Star Weekend approaching the trade rumors are heating up and it looks like Carmelo and the Knicks management see a potential trade as the best move for both the player and the team. Another reason to trade Melo right now is purely financial. He'll become a free agent this summer and with Chicago and Lakers reportedly in the hunt for February might be the last chance to get something for the superstar.
