War is Over is the Chicago-based indie folk project of longtime best friends Cameron Young (vocals) and Brycen Waitkus (instrumentation). Songwriters since 14, their debut singles were released independently during high school and quickly gained traction online. Combining their love of indie, pop, and folk (in the style of Ed Sheeran, Noah Kahan, and Mumford & Sons) their songs garner a striking, young, and powerful blend of emotions. Even after moving 2,000 miles apart for college, they have continued to formulate their debut EP for release in 2021.
