Oprah Winfrey is denying reports by PageSix that she advised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their exit from the Royal family.
"Meghan and Harry do not need my help figuring out what's best for them," Winfrey, who famously attended the couple's wedding in May 2018, shared in a statement to PEOPLE.
"I care about them both and support whatever decisions they make for their family."
PageSix citing "sources" claim that the media mogul discussed their "declaration of independence" and encouraged them to consider making a living in North America by building their own powerful brand.
In their announcement stepping down from the Royal family, Harry and Meghan stated that they will spend time between the UK and North America as they work to make themselves financially independent.
Royal experts believe Harry and Meghan will make Canada their North America home since it's part of the Commonwealth ( a group of nations with close ties to the Crown). Meghan called Toronto home for years while she filmed Suits, and she was living there when she and Harry first began dating. The couple's first public appearance together was in support of Harry's Invictus Games in Toronto in 2017.
