Last week before #richard100
There are just 5 days to go now before I set off from Crsytal Palace on the #richard100 Nightrider ride. In the past four months I have been encouraged, inspired and heartened by the generosity of so many people who have helped me. To date 86 people have sponsored me, bringing in over £2000 between them for the wonderful work of the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations have ranged from the handful of coins to the large cheques – and all are so welcome.
Years ago, as quite a small boy, I remember visiting a showground with my father, and watching as the Royal Signals Motorcyle Display Team roared past. I can’t help thinking of them now each time I get onto my bike for a training ride. In a wonderful sense, I feel like I am carrying all my sponsors with me.
